Model Open Call - Figure and Portraiture

Jane St. Art offers Life Drawing Open Studio Sessions for experienced adult artists seeking a focused, consistent space to draw from a live model in the Hudson Valley. Located in Saugerties, NY, these figure drawing classes support sustained practice, observation, and artistic growth in a respectful, welcoming environment.

Ideal for artists maintaining a regular drawing practice or returning to figure work, our open studio sessions provide structure without instruction—allowing artists to work independently and with intention.

Session Structure & Registration

Each registration includes a 6-week session with six (6) life drawing classes.

A minimum of 5 participants is required for a session to run.

Jane St. Art offers six life drawing sessions per year on both Thursdays and Fridays. Each session includes:

• Regular registration pricing
• A clearly listed cancellation deadline

Class Format

• Live model for every session
• Open studio (no instructor)
• Designed for experienced adult artists
• Bring your own art supplies and drawing boards
• Tables and chairs provided; limited easels available

Schedule options:

• Thursdays (5–8pm): Short poses focused on gesture and exploration
• Fridays (2–5pm): Long poses for sustained, in-depth figure drawing

Pricing

• Early Registration: $150
• Regular Registration: $180
• Drop-in Rate: $35 per class (space permitting)
